A couple of days ago I had a traumatic run-in with my scale -- the numbers had gone down by 3 lbs, then from one day to the next they went back up by 4 lbs.
Obviously, I am no longer speaking to the scale.
How often to people weigh themselves? Daily, weekly, monthly? What works best?

I weigh myself daily, but don't worry when the numbers fluctuate. You need to know that our bodies will retain water for various reasons, or you may have not been as regular and so are holding extra weight there, many, many reasons for flux.
ReplyDeleteI only compare my weight weekly. Every Monday morning I check against last Monday. And 95% of the time, I am down overall. I have even been up 4Lbs during the week but once Monday came, I was back down again.
I find that weighing myself daily keeps me focused on what I am eating and helps me to stay within reasonable limits...but if you are getting obsessed with the scale, take a look at one of Paula's posts, she has a great video on scale flux...
